History Hour: Cassandra Michaud

History Hour is a lecture series featuring historians, educators and more who share their knowledge of local and regional history.  This program will take place at the Josiah Henson Museum and Park visitor center. Refreshments provided. Admission, $5 per person. Tickets available onsite. Arrive early and take a self-guided tour of Josiah Henson Museum and Park. Appropriate for ages 12 and older. Doors open at 5pm.

It’s Maryland Archaeology Month! Join Cassandra Michaud, head of the Cultural Resources Stewardship Section for Montgomery Parks, and the lead archaeologist for the investigations at the Josiah Henson site, as she explores how Parks combined archaeological research and Henson’s autobiography to uncover a plantation buried in a suburban neighborhood.
