Climb a tree at Montgomery Parks Canopy Connection

WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks invites adventure seekers who are ages 55 plus to hang out with the birds and get a treetop view of Gaithersburg at Canopy Connection on Wednesday, October 9, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Washington Square Neighborhood Park.

This hands-on course, taught by tree climbing professionals, offers a unique opportunity to learn the basics of ropes, how to tie basic knots, proper rope climbing techniques, and safety equipment used for tree climbing. Tree climbing is physically challenging and demanding (and fun). Participants must be able to get up and down from a mat and support themselves.

WHAT:             Canopy Connection (for ages 55 and older)

WHEN:          Wednesday, October 9, 2024, | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

WHERE:       Washington Square Neighborhood Park, 17800 Amity Drive, Gaithersburg

FEE:                    $50 per person. Registration is required.
