
WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks’ Acoustics and Ales outdoor happy hour series heads to Flower Avenue Urban Park on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., for an evening of live music, locally crafted beer, and food from small businesses. The event is free and open to all ages.

“Acoustics and Ales is a simple recipe for a great evening—live music, local flavor and a welcoming place for the community to gather,” said Michael Coppersmith, Montgomery Parks director of parks activation. “We invite everyone to meet up at Flower Avenue Park, grab a bite from local vendors, and enjoy a spring night outside.”
Americana/blues musician Ted Garber will perform at the event. Guests can purchase food from Catalyst Hot Dogs, La Casita Pupuseria, and Churros Inc., along with beer from Denizens Brewing Co. and Silver Branch Brewing Company. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.
Please note:
· A valid form of identification is required to purchase alcohol.
· Outside alcohol is not permitted, and alcoholic beverages must remain within the event area.
· Limited seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis; guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
· Dogs are welcome but must be leashed.
