Step into the past and discover history in a fun, immersive way with Junior Historians! This program series is designed for ages 5-8, and invites young learners to explore history through interactive activities and playful discovery. Each session combines historical learning with practical, hands-on activities that bring history to life. Each class will cover a different theme, with a special emphasis on the Farm Park’s unique history, encouraging children to learn by touching, trying, and experiencing real tools, techniques, and traditions from long ago. Your child will leave with a richer understanding of history and a greater appreciation for the simple joys of farm life.

Step into the world of 1776, where secret messages, hidden information, and dangerous missions could mean the difference between victory and defeat. Students will learn how Washington’s spies gathered intelligence, passed along coded messages, and operated in secrecy while the fate of the colonies hung in the balance. Then, they’ll become spies themselves, joining a makeshift spy ring and working together to decipher clues, crack secret codes, uncover hidden information, and solve the mystery. Can you uncover the truth before it’s too late – or will the enemy find you first?
This is a drop off program, but parents are welcome to stay during the class. Please be sure to dress for the weather and bring water.
