Hello! Today I am going to camp at Wheaton Sports Pavilion!

I have packed my bag with everything I need. I have:

Close-toed shoes

A nut-free lunch

A water bottle

A snack
When I get to camp, I come in the front doors of the sports pavilion.

My adult checks me in at the front table, making sure I have everything I need.
The counselors help me make a name tag and show me the locker room where I put my things away.

Next, I go to the party room or field until everyone is here. In the party room, I can draw, play games, make crafts, and more.
On the field, I can play games like giant Connect Four, soccer, tag, and touch football.

This is a good time to go to the bathroom, too. It’s in the hallway outside the party room.
Once everyone is here, we go to the field to hear about what we will do today.
On Monday, we will practice an emergency drill by going to the grass area by the front parking lot.

Each day of camp, we have different fun activities! Here are some of the things we may do:

Play sports like football, soccer, lacrosse, kickball, and more.

Play tennis at the Wheaton Indoor Tennis Courts.

Go for hikes around Wheaton Regional Park

Explore Brookside Gardens’ Nature Play Area.

Visit the beautiful plants and wildlife at Brookside Gardens.

Play at the Wheaton Adventure Playground.

Ride the miniature train through the woods.

Ride the carousel.

Take a field trip to the Germantown Splash Park.
Play mini golf on the field trip.

If we are at the sports pavilion, we will eat lunch and our snacks in the lobby. Some days, we may eat at picnic tables in the park.
At the end of the day, my adult signs me out, and a counselor will help me get my things and go to the front.

I am Ready to Have Fun!
I am going to spend the week playing sports, making new friends, and having a wonderful time at camp!
