Parks Playhouse Junior - August 2

Calling All Little Musicians and Performers

On August 2 at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park (1120 Jackson Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904), join Montgomery Parks from 10 to 11 am for a Parks Playhouse Junior event—live performance by The Uncle Devin Show.

Make sure to prepare for each event by bringing your sunny day gear and blankets or lawn chairs for viewing. Make it a mid-morning picnic by bringing along your favorite snacks and treats to munch on while you enjoy the show. Parks Playhouse Junior performances will be rolling throughout the summer on both weekday and weekend mornings from 10 to 11 am.

Check the Parks Playhouse Junior event page to see the full lineup and more information.

About the Performance

Kids raise their hands in the air with performer, Uncle Devin

As a teaching artist, Uncle Devin’s performances, workshops, and school residencies have taken thousands of children on a magical journey through the Land of Percussion, where they hear, see, and play a wide range of instruments. Through partnerships with Carpe Diem Arts, the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, Teaching for Change, and leaders in family music, he helps children explore the history of percussion and its role as one of the world’s oldest creative traditions.
