Black Hill Bookworms
When: Once a month on a Thursday
Where: In-person at Black Hill Discovery Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Drive in Boyds
This book discussion group will focus on environmental, conservation, and nature-related topics, including non-fiction and fiction titles. Group members will have the chance to help select future books. Please register for each discussion you plan to attend so that we can contact you ahead of the meet-up. Please feel free to bring dinner or snacks with you to have during the discussion. All selected books are available through the Montgomery County Public Library. Nature Book Club for 55+
When: The group meets every third Tuesday of the month.
Where: Some meetings are in person, locations vary, and some are virtual.

Cozy Nature Book Chat

Good books and hot drinks, what’s not to love. Join a naturalist for our Cozy Nature Book Chats. Meet fellow nature book worms as we will discuss our favorite nature books, while enjoying a hot beverage in the nature center. Books about nature or conservation with LGBTQ and BIPOC authors encouraged. Registration is required for this program..
History Book Club
When: January 14, February 11, March 11
Where: Virtual
Commemorate 250 years of American independence by delving into diverse narratives and experiences that shaped this country. Through fiction and nonfiction, we’ll examine our shared past and its impact on today. Meetings will be held online and facilitated by staff from the Josiah Henson Museum and Park.
