ABOUT STICKS AND SNEAKERS LEARN TO PLAY

Sticks and Sneakers Learn to Play Ball Hockey is a first of its kind initiative that provides a unique opportunity for families to join the hockey community through an affordable and accessible program. Participants will develop fundamental skills to help them succeed through hockey and beyond. This program aims to be the gold standard in providing access to the game by addressing the various barriers associated with ice hockey. Sticks and Sneakers changes the narrative that hockey is an expensive sport by providing a cost-effective way for children to participate in our market. This program provides a new opportunity for aspiring players to be involved in the game by focusing on developing a youth journey through off-ice hockey. We look forward to seeing you out there!

The Sticks and Sneakers Learn to Play Ball Hockey program is designed for first-time ball hockey players between the ages of 5-14. For only $49, participants will receive free equipment, three (3) weeks of age-appropriate introductory instruction on the fundamental skills of hockey (stickhandling, passing, and shooting), and certified coaching in a fun, accessible, and safe environment!

*If the Washington Capitals become aware that a registered child has previous hockey league experience, the child will be removed from the Learn to Play Ball Hockey program and the guardians will be charged the full retail price for the equipment.
