Montgomery Parks is expanding access to its athletic fields to allow youth and adult practices and games for low and medium-risk sports (ex: soccer, baseball, cricket, softball, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse, field hockey), with no more than 25 people in a group, and subject to the County’s Reopening Guidelines. For high-risk sports (ex: football, rugby), practice that involves skills-building and drills is permitted; scrimmage and games are not permitted. Fields at local parks are currently available, and fields at regional/recreational parks will be available starting September 1.
Athletic fields reservation requests can be obtain through online registration via ActiveMontgomery or by emailing Mary.King@montgomerycountymd.gov. The first to reserve an athletic field permit will be the first to be awarded the athletic field permit. Athletic field access with no more than 25 people or less is allowed, however, non-permitted users must relinquish the athletic field to designated athletic field permit holders.
