About the Garden

Briggs Chaney Community Garden is Montgomery Parks’ biggest community garden and one of our oldest gardens. Established in the 2000s, Briggs Chaney is tucked away near the Fairland region of Silver Spring, Maryland.

This community garden offers 119 plots. Most plots are 625 square feet, though a few plots are 200, 300, or 400 square feet. There are no accessible gardening tables at this location. Water, deer fencing and a communal area are available to gardeners.
