Montgomery Parks announces Wine and Waterfowl Event at Black Hill Visitors Center  

WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, is hosting a Wine and Waterfowl Evening on February 11, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Black Hill Regional Park Visitors Center in Boyds, MD.   At sunset, guests will watch from the deck as waterfowl land on the lake for the night.  Admission is $30.00 and includes a snack and a glass of local wine from Rockland Farms. Additional items will be available for purchase.   

A community art show featuring carvings, paintings, and photos of local waterfowl will be on display, as well as adult and junior winners of the Federal Fish & Wildlife Duck Stamp competition. Local artist, Kesra Hoffman, will also be featured during the event for her newly painted Sky Murals inside the Visitor Center. The Duck Stamp exhibits and community art show will be available for viewing from February 11 until February 24 during the Visitor Center’s open hours, which are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.  “This event will showcase the beauty and tremendous diversity of waterfowl found in Maryland and create community for fellow artists and art lovers to share their work,” said Black Hill Visitor Center Manager Jen Scully.
