Theme Month: Hidden Worlds

Winter: a season of cold and quiet in the natural world. But if we take a closer look, we may discover a hidden world of activity. Mammals are foraging for food over and under the snow, some frogs bide their time by freezing solid, and just below the surface, plants are waiting for the arrival of spring. Join us at Locust Grove Nature Center as we discover the hidden worlds of winter.Theme months at Locust Grove feature special programming and exhibits throughout the month. Visit the park any time between sunrise and sunset for self-guided hikes and displays. Specialty, naturalist-led programs require separate registration.
