Owl Prowl & Full Moon Campfire

Love is in the air, and it flies on silent wings! Did you know February is a great time to look and listen for owls? Many local species, such as barred and great horned owls, are actively searching for mates, building nests, and laying eggs. We’ll begin around the campfire with a discussion about the amazing adaptations of these nocturnal hunters, then go on a moonlit walk through the park. Owl sightings are rare and not guaranteed. This program is appropriate for adults and older children who are comfortable in the woods at night. Dress warmly!This outdoors-only program follows all best practices for social distancing. Please register everyone in your group including adults and children. Severe weather cancels the program.
