Maydale Hikes – Early Spring Hike at Riley’s Lock

Explore the great outdoors with a naturalist-led hike. Whether you are looking for a family friendly hike around Maydale, or want to learn about nocturnal animals during a night hike, or explore the changing seasons along the C&O Canal there is a hike for you.

Early Spring Hike at Riley’s Lock: Springtime along the Canal is filled with budding trees and emerging wildflowers. Join a naturalist as we walk along the towpath taking in the sights and sounds of spring on this 3-mile trek. Hike begins at the Riley’s/Seneca parking lot off Riley’s Lock Road.
