Join us Saturday, June 28, at the farm park for a special Heritage Day celebration filled with hands-on activities, history, and fun for the whole family. Try your hand at candle dipping, a traditional craft enjoyed by all ages. Take part in guided walks offered at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. Our Historic Site Manager and farm park staff will be onsite to share stories and insights about the land and its past. The Historic Horticultural Specialist will have samples of what she’s currently growing, ready to answer questions and chat with visitors about future plans for the farm park’s demonstration gardens. In and around the big red barn, enjoy games and crafts perfect for kids and families. To join the festivities, make a right up the gravel road just after the speedbump on the park’s main road and park in the grass field in the Visitor Parking area. From there, head toward the barn. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch, water, and some snacks to make the day extra special.
