Bilingual: Explore the Skies Picnic – Canceled

Have you ever wondered what stories the heavens may have? Ponder the mysteries of the skies during this springtime picnic. Participants are invited to pack lunch or enjoy free snacks while exploring the clouds through artwork, storytelling, and science! Optional activities will inspire participants to use their magical skills of observation to imagine creatures with the clouds and paint them with watercolors or create celestial stories with their families and friends. Older children and adults will be invited to contribute their observational powers in the name of science for a NASA project to create a global cloud atlas. This event will be offered in a bilingual format (English and Spanish). In event of inclement weather, the alternative date for this program is Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day).

¿Se ha preguntado alguna vez cuáles cuentos podría tener el cielo? Reflexione en los misterios del cielo durante un picnic primaveral. ¡Traigan un picnic para almorzar o disfruten bocadillos gratuitos mientras explora el cielo a través del arte, cuentos y la ciencia! Actividades opcionales invitarán participantes a usar sus habilidades mágicas de la observación a tumbarse al suelo e imaginar cómo se ve la forma de las nubes y pintar lo que ve con lápices de acuarela. O puede colaborar entre la familia o amigos para crear cuentos celestiales sobre los seres que ve en las formas de las nubes. Niños mayores y adultos puede ejecutar sus poderes de observación en nombre de la ciencia para un proyecto de N.A.S.A. que se dedica a crear un atlas global de las nubes. Se ofrece este programa en inglés y en español. La fecha alternativa por lluvia es lunes, 30 de mayo (Día de la Recordación).
