Save the trees, protect the Reddy Branch Stream Valley ecosystem, and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the MLK Weekend of Service
Join Adam, Weed Warrior Supervisor, for a non-native, invasive plant removal volunteer event in Reddy Branch Stream Valley in Olney, MD. Adam will meet volunteers a little before the start time at the Infants and Toddlers Building immediately to the south of Rosa Parks Middle School on Olney Mill Road. Address for Infants and Toddlers Building: 19190 Olney Mill Road, Olney, MD
We will clear English ivy from mature oak, maple, and cherry trees. We will also give breathing room to the acres of spicebush and holly by clearing multiflora rose, bush honeysuckle, and autumn olive. And for those who like their vines, joining the ivy is Japanese honeysuckle and Oriental bittersweet.
