Chesapeake Shakespeare Co. Presents: A Midsummer Night's Dream

Due the excessive heat advisory, nature of the event, and high probability of strong storms this evening we have moved the event to the rain date of Thursday, July 11th at 7:30pm at  MLK Jr. Recreational Park.

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is the leading classic theatre company in Maryland, offering vibrant performances that delight their patrons by breathing new life into Shakespeare and other classic plays. This summer, they are traveling with their Shakespeare Beyond program to bring residents the well-loved tale, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

Shakespeare Beyond aims to bring arts and cultural programming into neighborhoods and towns across Maryland – with an emphasis on reaching those with limited access to the arts. They will be performing their version of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park for all ages to enjoy.

The performance will begin at 7:30 pm and will run approximately 90 minutes.

This is a free event, and guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets and lawn chairs for seating.
Outside food is permitted. In the case of inclement weather, the rain date for this event is Thursday, July 11.
