Fitness in the Parks

Montgomery Parks and Montgomery County Recreation have joined forces to offer adults and families a series of Fitness in the Parks classes, beginning on September 14 through October! Get moving with one of four  exciting classes, and be on the lookout for additional announcements in the coming months! Classes are Tai Chi, Boot Camp,and Family Fit. Prices may vary based on class, and only individual class purchases are available.

Registration for all classes is required and can be done on ActiveMONTGOMERY. Both drop-in sessions and four-class packs are available!

Class List:

  • Tai Chi: Tai chi benefits everyone from active athletes to those recovering from injuries or back problems. Wear loose clothing. Come and enjoy the outdoors.
  • Boot Camp: Bring enthusiasm, effort, and a positive mindset to this class. Every class varies but will always offer a total body workout through circuit training, HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training), bodyweight exercises, resistance training, plyometrics, and more. Classes are often “team” based and all fitness levels are welcome.
  • Family Fit: We understand that sometimes there’s just not enough time for parents to exercise with their children. That’s why we’re here! Family Fit classes offer fun fitness classes for the entire family. Experience team challenges, obstacle courses, energizing music, and more. All fitness levels are welcome. **Children must be 5yrs or older to participate**
