Takuga: Botanical Prints in Ink and Watercolor

Instructor: Sue Fierston, teaching artist and president of the International Nature Printing Society – Explore the Japanese art of Takuga, the intersection between printmaking and watercolor!  Students will use special ink to hand-print leaves, flowers, or vegetables, and then paint with watercolor. Create artwork on a variety of printmaking papers, ready for framing or cards. Bring materials from your garden or select from options provided in class.
